About Project
Coexistence House in Chennai explores a thoughtful balance between architecture and nature. Designed around a site rich with existing mango and coconut trees, the home carefully preserves the landscape while shaping spaces that remain constantly connected to it. Living areas, decks, and balconies open toward the greenery, allowing natural light, breeze, and views to become part of everyday life. A central courtyard and sculptural staircase organize the home vertically, drawing daylight deep into the interiors. Earthy materials such as exposed brick, Kota stone, and oxide finishes reinforce this dialogue with the outdoors. Together, these elements create a residence where architecture does not dominate the land, but quietly grows with it.
