About Project
In Amritsar, where life orbits faith and memory, the Ek Onkar House emerges as a quiet continuum of devotion and dwelling. Rooted in the legacy of the Golden Temple, it reimagines the Punjabi joint home for a contemporary family of many generations. Two houses dissolve into one, yet privacy and togetherness remain delicately balanced. At its heart, an internal gurudwara anchors both spirit and space, allowing rituals to shape daily rhythms. Light filters through controlled facades, courtyards breathe between rooms, and materials speak softly. Here, architecture weaves belief, climate, and kinship into one seamless, enduring home.
