About Project
Geeli Mitti – Centre of Excellence was born from founder Shagun Singh’s quiet pursuit of a slower, more intentional life. Drawn to the forest, she envisioned building her own home with the earth, living lightly on the land, and growing alongside a community rather than apart from it. What began as a personal quest gradually shaped into a living campus where nature, craft, and everyday life intersect. The centre runs periodic workshops and permaculture design programmes throughout the year. A small number of cottages, built on site, allow visitors to spend time within this environment and experience daily life in natural homes.
As a social enterprise, Geeli Mitti is deeply rooted in its local context. It works to revive traditional building knowledge, demonstrate diverse natural construction techniques, and promote regenerative farming practices. By valuing local materials and wisdom, it encourages communities to remain, rebuild sustainably, and reimagine prosperity in harmony with the landscape.
