The sunken living sits at an eye level with the pool. The terrace is protected under a Mangalore tiled roof that follows the natural slope of the hill. The landscape is humble, kept low, built from the very boulders found during excavation. The pool acts as a cooling body, blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor. This is not a home that dominates its site. It is a home that understands where it stands, and accepts the forest as the real protagonist.
