About Project
Designed around a central courtyard, Muthappa Residence is a 5,000 sq. ft. home in Bengaluru that explores how architecture can bring families closer while responding to climate and context. Sloping roofs, skylights, and layered volumes create spaces that are visually connected yet comfortably private. The courtyard becomes the heart of the home, drawing light and ventilation into every level while acting as a social anchor for daily life and gatherings. Natural materials such as Kota stone, teak wood, brick, and terracotta lend warmth and familiarity, balancing tradition with contemporary living. Through thoughtful spatial planning, the home transforms everyday routines into a sequence of connected experiences shaped by light, openness, and quiet moments.
