Founded in 1989 by architect Tony Joseph, STAPATI was envisioned as a practice grounded in sincerity and collaboration. The name “Stapati,” drawn from the Sanskrit term for “master craftsman,” embodies a philosophy centered on artistry, skill, and integrity in every design. More than just a design firm, Stapati is a creative collective where architecture emerges from a dialogue among PEOPLE: architects, clients, artisans, and collaborators, working together to bring each vision to life. Stapati’s PROJECTS reflect a profound respect for the cultural and environmental contexts in which they stand. Each project draws from regional narratives, reimagining them in a modern framework.
