Envisaged as a weekend home for a family of four - a doctor couple and their children, this house also needed to culminate as a retirement home for the couple in the years to come. The site slopes from southwest to northeast, with roads running along the highest levels. The L-shape of the house positioned at the topmost corner is derived from the need for easy accessibility and a desire to create a micro-ecosystem of the land expanse to the north. The house covers only 1/8th of the total plot, keeping in mind the responsibility of minimizing the built footprint. Finished in natural materials, this house personifies every inhabitant’s personal interest, whether classical singing or stargazing.
