Boat House

Situated on the outskirts of Ahmedabad city, the design of the Boathouse harmonizes with the natural environment surrounding it. Attempting to construct with limited resources motivated the architect to think creatively and devise methods to optimize efficiency. This entails selecting materials solely based on sustainability and cost-effectiveness, maximizing the potential of each material. The architect's first thoughtful decision was to work in harmony with the land's existing features. The natural downward slope of the land was preserved, creating ample space for a flourishing garden and a splash pool. Exposed concrete walls, recycled wood, and plywood became the primary materials embodying sustainability and eco-friendliness.
