About Project
Brihati, a luxury apartment in Bengaluru, was designed to marry the timeless elegance of traditional Indian design with the clean lines of contemporary aesthetics. The home celebrates handcrafted elements, showcasing intricate craftsmanship such as carved wood and carved local stone, along with elements from local crafts. The design is a cohesive blend of traditional and contemporary elements, using a neutral color palette paired with warm, earthy tones from the traditional Indian palette. The home's highlights include many bespoke pieces, each telling a unique story. This includes a glass side table inspired by the traditional South Indian "velaku", and warm, earthy tones drawn from the lacquerware of Channapatna. Other key features are furniture inspired by Chettinad designs and personalized artwork, such as a hand-drawn Kalamkari mural that tells the client's story. The entire home celebrates handcrafted elements and intricate craftsmanship, with details stripped down to their core to maintain simplicity.
