About Project
Concrete Canvas a modern home in Hollywood Town, Bengaluru, where rustic charm meets industrial precision. Designed for a mechanical engineer with a love for raw materials and functional aesthetics, this residence sits on a 7000 sq.ft corner plot near Bangalore Airport. With constant flight noise and limited boundary conditions, the house responds through intelligent spatial planning and material choices, celebrating cast-in-situ concrete, exposed brick, and metal details throughout. At the heart of the design is an L-shaped form, sculpted by subtracting a cube from a cuboid, creating voids that invite light and frame green pockets. The ground and first floors mirror each other for efficiency, stacking spaces vertically to simplify services. Living, dining, pooja, and bedrooms are all layered with thoughtful transitions, earthy tones, and play of light. Unique design features, like a bi-folding metal gate, concentric slab ceiling, brick bullseye in the pooja, and patterned flooring, bring together modern home design with traditional nuances.
