About Project
Tucked away in a dense Kochi neighborhood, Court of Quietude is envisioned as a sanctuary of stillness amidst urban chaos. The design takes cues from the five elements or Panchabhutas, allowing earth, water, air, fire, and space to shape experience and form. A expansive courtyard, cascading water walls, and porous jaali screens form the spine of the house, ensuring cross-ventilation, filtered light, and visual continuity. Crafted through an intimate collaboration between architect and client, the home balances security and openness, privacy and connectivity. Its floating deck-like upper level, skylit interiors, and serene material palette come together to foster a tactile, elemental environment, one that quietly elevates everyday rituals and offers moments of repose throughout the day.
