Halaman Residence

The Halaman Residence is a modern tropical home that masterfully blends luxury with the natural environment. Situated on an east-facing plot in Kerala, the design prioritizes a connection to nature through biophilic principles, featuring a water body that acts as both a fish pond and a cooling element. The architecture is a thoughtful response to both climate and culture, with minimal openings on the south side for privacy and a layout that separates formal living spaces while fostering family togetherness in the kitchen and family area. The material palette includes locally sourced laterite stones for walls, imported clay roof tiles, and an interior with gray-toned marbles and unique wall finishes. This residence stands as a testament to creating a harmonious, functional, and aesthetically pleasing living space.
