About Project
Bengaluru’s leafy neighbourhoods offer a rare intimacy between architecture and nature. House by the Park is a five-bedroom home that tames the northern views with angled concrete fins, softly filtering eastern light, while opening fully to the park in the south. Here, spaces shift their dialogue with the outdoors—double-height wooden verandas frame tall branches, and the master bedroom frames a venerable old tree.
A vertical mild steel and wood staircase flanks the northern fins, its sculptural rhythm visible from living areas, negating the need for decoration. The plinth rises gently above the road, embraced by layered concrete and corten walls.
Inside, calm prevails. Polished Kota stone, ribbed timber ceilings, and Accoya wood frames create a quiet backdrop. Public spaces occupy the ground floor, while private bedrooms, lounges, and terraces nestle among trees above. Every orientation choreographs views and movement, letting the interiors breathe with the park while maintaining intimacy.
