About Project
Set within a compact 40x60 plot in Bengaluru, the House of Hanging Gardens is a finely balanced response to its urban context and the personal aspirations of a family of four. Rooted in soft brutalism, the home is designed to be Vastu-compliant, garden-friendly, and naturally ventilated, offering a quiet retreat from the city's constant motion. The architecture is defined by stacked volumes, exposed concrete, and warm teak accents, softened by layers of greenery across every floor. Public spaces such as the formal living, dining, and family room are positioned along the east to draw in morning light, while planter boxes and skylights introduce a constant play of light and shadow. Key features include a rat-proof car park, northeast-facing pooja, sculptural staircase, and private yet expressive bedrooms.
