About Project
A home that reveals itself layer by layer, House of Quiet Discoveries in Pune is designed as a spatial journey shaped by movement, pause, and evolving experiences. Set on an 86 × 70 ft plot within a lush, vegetated context, the design establishes a strong connection between the built form and its surroundings, with a clear segregation of pedestrian and vehicular access from the eastern edge. The ground floor is organized into two distinct zones—parking on one side and recreational spaces on the other—creating a balanced foundation for the home. As one enters, a carefully choreographed sequence of thresholds, water, craft, and materiality sets the tone for the experience within. At its heart lies a central courtyard, around which the house is structured. Split levels, shifting volumes, and interconnected spaces create a sense of openness while maintaining human scale. Visual axes and framed views guide movement, constantly revealing new relationships between spaces.
