About Project
Located in the densely built residential fabric of Tirupati, House of Quiet Lights addresses the challenges of a compact plot with limited views and closely spaced neighbours. The intent was to reimagine an inward-looking living experience that maximizes natural light and ventilation while bringing nature into the heart of the home. The result is a residence that transforms spatial constraints into opportunities for comfort, tranquility, and a deeper connection to the elements. A key architectural feature is the terracotta breeze block facade, which serves both functional and aesthetic purposes. Spanning three floors, it provides protection from harsh sunlight and maintains privacy from the immediate surroundings. Behind this screen lies a series of alternating balconies, thoughtfully layered with greenery. These outdoor pockets create a unique visual and spatial rhythm within the home, offering changing experiences as one moves vertically through the levels. Every space remains close to nature, allowing residents to witness light transform throughout the day and seasons.
