About Project
Set beside a gentle stream and facing an evergreen forest, the Lepcha Abode is a sensory dialogue with nature. Birdsong, shifting light, and the drama of mountain weather are invited in, yet gently controlled to create a calm, immersive living experience. Responding to Sikkim’s cold, moisture-laden climate, winter sun and natural ventilation shape every space. A majestic tree is preserved as the heart of the home. Inspired by traditional Lepcha houses, the architecture is reinterpreted for modern living. Subtle references to Thokro-Dum patterns weave cultural memory into the design, quietly enriching everyday life.
