About Project
The ‘Red Wall Residence’ in Thrissur is a striking example of modern tropical architecture, defined by a bold, Fortress-Like aesthetic. Designed to meet the client's strong need for privacy and security, the house employs massive compound walls and an introverted main facade finished with custom-cut red Agra stone. This signature red wall allows the structure to stand out while creating a visual shield from the street. Despite its closed exterior, the home maintains a fluid dialogue with nature through strategically placed openings and two distinct indoor courtyards that flood the interiors with natural light and air. The internal palette is deliberately minimalist—whites and wood—contrasting the exterior’s bold color. The design features large, open living spaces, connecting bridges, and decks with water features, creating a tranquil sanctuary that successfully balances security with serene living.
