Rhapsody of Light redefines what a west-facing home can be. Designed on a 2,400 sq. ft. plot, the residence transforms challenges of privacy, harsh sunlight, and neighboring buildings into opportunities for thoughtful architecture. A climate-responsive breathing facade, layered with concrete fins and steel members, filters light while maintaining openness and comfort. At its core, a semi-indoor courtyard, skylights, and double-height volumes draw natural light deep into the home, creating spaces that evolve throughout the day. This is a home where climate response, materiality, and spatial planning come together to compose an architecture shaped by light.
