About Project
Samam House in Devanahalli is a residence designed around the spirit of balance, where a family of four and their three dogs share spaces seamlessly woven between built form and landscape. The home responds to both lifestyle and context, creating an environment that is open, connected, and enduring. Planned on a 60’ x 90’ site, the house is organized into three distinct blocks, private, buffer, and public, stitched together by a strong east-west axis. Generous front and rear gardens are reserved as active yards for the dogs, while the central courtyard with its staircase brings light, air, and greenery into the heart of the home. The double-height living, dining, and kitchen zone at the rear opens directly to the backyard, establishing fluid continuity between inside and outside. With exposed concrete slabs, white walls, and granite finishes, the home demonstrates how modest materials and clarity of planning can create timeless, functional architecture.
