About Project
Henge House is a 7,500 sq.ft. Bengaluru residence that redefines garden-centric living on a compact 60x40 corner plot. Designed for a family deeply connected to greenery, the home integrates landscape across all levels through a vertical indoor garden, light-filled courtyard, and a terrace framed by hand-chiseled granite fins. Thoughtfully planned openings, skylights, and double-height volumes allow natural light and ventilation to structure the spatial experience. Inside, the home balances private and social needs with clarity. The first and second floors form the family’s core, anchored by the courtyard and its Filicium tree. The third floor becomes an entertainment suite with a bar, lounge, guest room, and a sculptural terrace garden inspired by Stonehenge. Material choices such as Madurai pink granite, limestone, wood, and terrazzo cultivate an atmosphere of warmth and longevity, while sustainable reuse of stone and wood off-cuts reinforces mindful construction. The residence ultimately reflects Bengaluru’s Garden City nostalgia, demonstrating how thoughtful design can create a calm, timeless environment within a dense urban context.
