About Project
The House of Dual Realities in Bengaluru is a home that challenges the idea of what a compact urban home can feel like. Built on a 60x40 plot with a steep terrain rise at the rear, the 2400 sq.ft house transforms a massive retaining wall into the foundation for an inward-looking courtyard that brings calm into the heart of the home. Designed for three generations, the architecture replaces conventional stacked floors with interconnected half-levels that create fluidity, openness, and subtle transitions between social and private spaces. Street-facing balconies, shaded outdoor edges, raw concrete textures, reclaimed teak, handcrafted inserts, and climate-responsive planning together shape a home that feels intimate yet expansive, balancing the energy of the city with moments of retreat and stillness.
