About Project
TropiBox fuses the core principles of tropical modernism, inspired by masters like Geoffrey Bawa, with a deep understanding of the humid Kerala climate. The exterior presents a clean, sculpted face with unique curved planter boxes and minimal solid forms, maximizing privacy in a dense urban setting. Inside, the structure unfolds through a vertical stacking system, ingeniously separating public and private zones across its sloping site while ensuring continuous visual connectivity. This strategic organization, combined with glass walls and multiple internal courtyards, actively enhances the microclimate, delivering natural ventilation and daylight to every corner of the home. At the heart of the residence lies the luminous double-height dining area, anchored by a dramatic circular skylight that transforms the space into a dynamic art installation of light and shadow. The adjacent open island kitchen is integrated with a planted courtyard, blurring the boundaries between domestic life and nature.
