About Project
Set in the serene outskirts of Coimbatore, Veiled Volumes is envisioned as a sculptural home where architecture and landscape merge into one entity. Cantilevered planes, interlocking geometries, and cascading layers of greenery define its character, with the landscape acting as a natural veil that softens the bold structural volumes. This interplay creates a residence that feels at once grounded and organically connected to its surroundings. The home is planned around three zones, public, semi-private, and private, organized to balance openness and privacy. A dramatic double-height core combining dining and informal living becomes the heart of the house, filled with light and cross-ventilation. Two courtyards anchor the design: an eastern courtyard with a swimming pool, outdoor deck, and alfresco dining, and a western courtyard with a bar and swing. These outdoor extensions encourage family gatherings while blurring the line between inside and outside. Bedrooms open to landscaped views, while the upper floors house more private areas, including a secluded entertainment zone that expands into a terrace garden.
