About Project
Viraam is imagined as an urban sanctuary, a place to slow down and breathe. On a compact 1700 sq ft plot, the design reinterprets an old home into a layered retreat for a growing family. The plan gently unfolds from a shaded entry and anteroom into a double-height, open-to-sky courtyard, the green heart of the house. Light filters through recessed openings, softened by landscaping, ensuring privacy while bathing spaces in a calm glow.
The ground floor hosts a two-bedroom unit for parents or future rental use, while the duplex above frames daily life around the court. A slender metal staircase rises like a sculptural spine, connecting living spaces with the master suite, sundeck, and terrace office.
Earthy materials like exposed brick, slate, and concrete paired with climbing creepers create a timeless setting. Viraam becomes not just a house, but a living, breathing pause.
