Vaibhav Passi

Vaibhav Passi is an architectural photographer based in Chandigarh, India, who graduated from the Chandigarh College of Architecture in 2019. As an architecture student, he found himself captivated by the world of buildings, but for Vaibhav, capturing them evolved into a lifelong passion. His personal project revolves around capturing the modern heritage of Chandigarh, blending exploration with practice. In 2023, his dedication bore fruit when he snagged a travel grant to London, sponsored by Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi. At first, he played by the book, meticulously following the rules and technicalities of architectural photography. But as he delved into the works of documentary and street photographers, he discovered a new lens through which to view his subjects. Now, he challenges himself to uncover the stories hidden within the structures, as if each building has a tale waiting to be told. With each photograph, Vaibhav attempts to weave a narrative—a song on repeat that echoes the essence of the project. His approach is a delightful blend of discipline and spontaneity, reflecting the curiosity of an architecture student with a passion for storytelling.
